The COVID pandemic led to an unprecendented economic contraction and disruption in the labor market.  Some industries will bounce back as soon as the pandemic is over, some will take longer to recover, while still others will see fundamental change.

This presentation will provide an update on the current state of the economy and labor market, as well as some information about long-lasting effects of the crisis.

    Key takeaways

    • Where did Connecticut's economy stand before the COVID pandemic?

    • Which industries have been most severely affected by the crisis?

    • What will a recovery look like?  Which industries will have the strongest growth?

    • What will be the effect of demographic changes on Connecticut's long-term outlook?
