“Volunteering to lead the SHRM Western CT chapter has made a difference in my life in two ways. The first way was the chance and valuable opportunity to make an impact, build relationships and network with peers and colleagues within the HR profession, and/or within the local business community.
The second way has really required me to step outside my comfort zone and experience situations I might not have encountered in my day-to-day life. The experience of handling uncomfortable and unfamiliar situations helped me with my personal and professional growth.
