TESTIMONIALS:

“Volunteering in a leadership position on the SHRM Board offered me opportunities for growth that broadened the breadth and depth of my professional acumen.  I got to work with and learn from a lot of talented and generous HR professionals and have a lot of fun doing it.  A SHRM board position is a personally and professional rewarding investment well worth making.  I look forward to the time that my career allows time for volunteering again!”

“Volunteering to lead the SHRM Western CT chapter has made a difference in my life in two ways. The first way was the chance and valuable opportunity to make an impact, build relationships and network with peers and colleagues within the HR profession, and/or within the local business community.

The second way has really required me to step outside my comfort zone and experience situations I might not have encountered in my day-to-day life. The experience of handling uncomfortable and unfamiliar situations helped me with my personal and professional growth.

How would I describe volunteering? Fulfilling, worthwhile and quite exciting!

I would like to give thanks to all our members and especially to those who support SHRM Western CT in so many ways; because we couldn’t do the things we do without your continued support.”
