President's Corner
Hello and welcome to the Western Connecticut Chapter of Society of Human Resource Management.
I am very proud and excited that I was elected to serve as President of the Chapter for 2010. It is my personal objective to enhance membership benefits, increase the chapter’s membership and be fiscally responsible by obtaining new sponsors for our chapter events.
Emerging from this recession, there has never been a more important time for Human Resource professionals to make a difference and demonstrate value. We are here to help by offering timely and innovative programs, eNewsletters, opportunities to meet and network, to enjoy the free exchange of information and ideas with other HR professionals as well as our program sponsors.
And of course none of this could be done without the truly dynamic group of Officers, Chapter Administrator, Committee Chairpersons and their members. This Chapter is very fortunate to have such a dedicated and experienced Board to lead it. It is these professionals’ dedication that makes this Chapter a continued success. Having said that we are always looking for fresh, new ideas and talent, and there are many ways in which to participate in the Chapter.
